Translation |
To Lucius Succonius Priscus, son of Lucius, of the Palatina tribe, quattuorvir iure dicundo, quaestor aerarius, patron of all the corporations (of Spoletium), likewise decurio, pontifex, quattuorvir iure dicundo, and municipal patron of Trebiae. The four decuriae of senior scabillum-players of the theatre to their most loving (supporter?) (have set up this monument) from collected money; He has paid back the expense, having accepted the honour.

Notes on the source | The inscription was found in the 15th century near Trebiae, then brought to Montefalco (Perugia), later returned to Trebia. It was attributed to Mevania in CIL, but most likely comes from Spoletium, where the gens Succonia is attested (Vincent 2013: 188) |
