| Notes on dating | The Legio II Adiutrix was moved from Britan to the lower Danube in 87 CE. It is unlikely that the civilian settlement was developped enough before the start of the second century to accommodate important collegia. More likely post quem dates are 106 CE, when Trajan made Aquincum provincial capital, or (more likely still) 124 CE when Hadrian made it a municipium. |
