Royden 1988: 154-155, no. 173
The Greek cognomen suggests a possible freedman, his praenomen and nomen suggest a link with the imperial family, but the absence of Aug. l. probably implies that he was rather a freedman of an imperial freedman or that he was freed by Tiberius after his adoption by Augustus in 2 CE but before his succession in 14 CE (see Royden).
